Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, combine whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix melted coconut oil, honey or maple syrup, almond milk, and vanilla extract until blended.
  • Gradually blend the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until you can’t see any dry flour.

Baking

  • Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, just until they turn golden brown.
  • While they’re warm, roll each churro bite in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Notes
