  • Meanwhile, in another bowl, mix the diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Set aside while you prepare the dough.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  • Lift the rolled dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spoon the apple mixture down the center.
  • Cut 1-inch diagonal slits on each side of the dough, then fold over to create a braided effect. Seal the ends well.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow it to cool for about 10 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle this glaze over the cooled kringle.
